Competitions
Cal Poly EWH provides an opportunity to lead and participate in interdisciplinary projects that can be submitted to competitions.
The EWH Design Competition is put on by the national Engineering World Health foundation. In 2012, Cal Poly placed 3rd in the EWH Design Competition for the design of a ‘Low Cost, Reusable, and Robust Sterilizer Tester’. Prizes for this competition are up to $3000 in cash. The next submission due date is May 2017.
A competition focused on health-related technology invented by students that addresses a real clinical need. It is the United States’ leading competition for biomedical and bioengineering students. Cash prizes are available and the next deadline will be April 2017.
